Resumen
Nowadays in the industry is necessary to use different materials to several objectives; it’s for that reason than the technological development in this field is usually constant relating to studies focused to improvement of their physical, chemical and the most important the mechanics capabilities. The last one reason is where the researches are focused due to in this generation looks for the metals gain some better properties upon their natural ones. Some mechanical properties make than a material has more application or are exclusive on building or structures fields, some of those are the malleability and the weldability, that is to say, dual phase metal. This kind of steel has a low proportion of carbon and is low alloy metal, for that reason is necessary a heat treatment between intercritical temperature.
It’s the main reason than the research is focused to analyze the ASTM A- 131 steel after a heat treatment between intercritical temperatures than provide and establish improves in the mechanical properties in this kind of metal and its changes in its microstructural phases giving as results better features on the alloy. Through of test like scanning optical microscopy, hardness, micro hardness, and finally a destructive testing (Charpy test) to analyze how much energy is able to absorb this kind of metal.
