Resumen
The generation of hydraulic energy represents one of the most sustainable and efficient ways to meet current energy demands. In this context, the Francis turbine plays a fundamental role. At the Public Services Laboratory of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, the Pump and Turbine Bench (BBT) TQ MFP101 is an essential resource for technical training, although its use has been limited by the lack of structured didactic material. This project arises in response to this issue, identified through the absence of pedagogical guides that clearly orient students in the operation of the Francis turbine. This deficiency has limited students' ability to apply theoretical concepts, restricting the development of practical competencies and affecting the efficient use of the laboratory as a formative tool. The proposed solution consisted of designing and developing didactic guides to establish safe and effective operating protocols, based on equipment characterization and the implementation of structured experimental practices. These practices included the analysis of variables such as speed, torque, and pressure, according to different guide vane openings. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding and management of the turbine. In conclusion, this project not only provides a concrete educational tool but also strengthens technical training in the field of renewable energy.
