Resumen
The development of hypertext was represented by the use of multimedia, which became a flexible technology that allowed the representation of information, integrating printed media, images, sounds with computer science; this was the first beginning of inclusion of ICT in the educational environment; the media revolution has allowed multidisciplinary researchers to develop theories, methods and strategies that link computing and education in learning processes. This article makes a bibliographical collection, which in the light of the theoretical bases obtained in the seminar and the opinions of experts gathered through interviews, presents the analysis of the importance of ICT in education, noting that their inclusion is not optional because it is immersed within the current context and transcends in all spheres of human life; however, it is valid insofar as it fulfills, among other functions, the functions of serving as a source of information, enabling meaningful and collaborative learning, fostering creativity, attending individual rhythms in which students learn, motivating the educational environment, with the realization of simulations and models, to work by projects, to personalize spaces of learning. These functions can be enhanced through the coherent integration of the new multimedia communicative tools, the use of interactivity, hypertextuality, convergence, ubiquity and thus redesign and evaluate didactic strategies for student training as they are active and managers of their own learning process.
