Abstract

Ministerio de Cultura is the national entity that has given a clear direction to the music education in the country. It has established music education as a fundamental right of the population, and as a way to produce and strengthen the diverse and rich cultural identity of the country. Plan Nacional de Musica para la Convivencia, the leading program of the entity to develop music education in Colombia, has different strategies that benefit the training and upgrading of professors’ skills. The purpose of this project is to document and systematize one of the projects that are part of the plan: the diploma in Basic Level, while comparing its guidelines and continuity to its predecessor: the diploma in Musical Introduction. In addition, this project describes in detail the sessions, activities, and resources of each module while analyzing the pedagogical practices of the course.
