Resumen
Waste tires have become an environmental problem in Bogota city. Approximately 18,000 tons of this material is discarded annually in the city and still have not materialized effective solutions for it. In present work identified a solution to this problem. It is proposed to recycle scrap tires through a process of pyrolysis under inert atmosphere that allows, mainly, obtain carbon black to be marketed as raw material to produce different products.
As a result of the pre-feasibility study of this alternative solution you are obtained which is a product of high demand in the rubber industry where it is used as a reinforcing material for tires and other rubber products, and average demand in the coatings industry where it is used as a pigment around the world. Technically feasible process because there are machines which allow to achieve high temperatures and pressures that it is necessary for pyrolysis. Location for project will be Zona Franca. Finally, we obtained good results in financial evaluation.
