Resumen
A fundamental and essential part of this systematization of experience was the conversation of the members of the rock band Antípoda in January 2006, attended by José Giraldo, Juan David Garzón, Maciek Ruckgaber, and Arturo González. In it, the intention was raised to record a high-quality album made in Colombia and then knock on doors at European record labels to promote this album. This is only possible to achieve under the direction of a music producer who can favor the process with their criteria and allow the achievement of a high-quality sound of international standard. The term "international standard" is based on the high levels of recording and production for the most representative record labels in Europe and the United States and the research that the band did when wanting to record a professional album. The band made a call to the record label Nuclear Blast, with its main headquarters in Germany, where they spoke with one of its representatives, who was very direct with a clear answer: they do not receive any Latin American proposals because none have a high level of production and their recording quality is not good. At that moment, Antípoda realized the sad reality that in Colombia it was not possible to record and produce a Rock album with the international aspirations that the band was looking for. In Colombia, until 2006, there were no producers who gave the quality result in the production of the Rock genre for international record labels. For Antípoda, there was no Colombian rock recording and production with the characteristics of the same or greater quality as the influences that the band had at that time. Groups like Soilwork, Muse, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Katatonia or Pain of Salvation are examples of where Antípoda was projecting itself. Antípoda's goal at that time was to have a professional sound and musical concept, with forceful songs and an impeccable recording, equal to or better than the European influences already mentioned.
