This project is involved in the lighting of electrical substations in Cundinamarca and it focused on the PMBOK 6 th edition guide application on the scope, schedule and cost knowledge areas in order to take an appropriate management of them. According to the background information, the earned value technique and common activities in order to achieve the scope. The work breakdown structure and its dictionary are made together and it contains the principal activities description. The MS Project tool is used to sequence activities, resource allocating, activities estimation, project duration, and the basic performance indicators. Once these values are achieved, the baseline of the project is established in order to make the comparison from the execution of the project by the executing company, this analysis are carried out through the calculation of the Schedule variations and cost, which allowed us to know the delay and deficit amounts, the calculation of the performance indexes which allowed us to get the delayed percentage of the project and the executed percentage. Once these values have been achieved, it is important to know the forecast of the project to continue with the same performance, this allows us to know the value of the cost overrun of continuing with these projections and what is the performance that we must apply to each peso invested if I want to improve these indicators. Given the results, it was suggested the importance of the project executing company about implementing a methodology that allows it to improve its performance and thus to get into a competitive market.
