Resumen
In the Peace Agreements between the Colombian Government and the FARC, the importance of talking about the armed conflict in educational institutions was highlighted. Despite these expectations, its implementation has focused on children over the age of eight because it is presumed that for others of a younger age, the armed conflict is not understandable or it can be traumatic to learn the reality of the war, although close to half of the displaced population is child population. For this reason, this research looks into the processes of empathy in boys and girls in the face of the forced displacement of their peers as an alternative to meet the objectives of the Chair. For its development, the theoretical framework verified the relationship of the conflict with education and addressed the notion of empathy and its relationship with education with a qualitative approach and a descriptive-interpretative design based on pedagogical workshops applied to children students. This research concluded that boys and girls can develop empathic skills with the victims of the armed conflict in Colombia and that the Peace Chair can promote them in school settings.
