Resumen
The naturalistic, ecological, and economic perspective from which the environment is approached in Urban Agriculture (UA) initiatives in Bogotá; responding to what has been termed an environmental crisis. This research seeks to interpret the construction of environmental knowledge (through life history) of the urban farmers of Huerta Marsella in Bogotá, D.C., reviewing authors such as Leff, Bachelard, Sauvé, and Carrizosa to establish theoretical and analytical categories. This qualitative research used life history as a method and semi-structured interviews as instruments for collecting narratives. The information was analyzed using five main analytical categories (basic experience, verbal obstacle, general knowledge, pragmatic knowledge, and animistic obstacle) and four categories that emerged from the research (ethical-aesthetic environmental conception, social conception of the environment, conception of contemplation and environmental respect, and practical conception). establishing that the urban farmers of Huerta Marsella have a complex environmental vision that goes far beyond scientific and academic knowledge.
