Diagnóstico base para el análisis histórico ambiental en el municipio de Madrid- Cundinamarca

Abstract

The municipality of Madrid, throughout its history, has experienced a series of "waves of development", characterized by the consolidation of industry, agro-industry (floriculture), mining exploitation and the boom of housing projects, that generated changes in its dynamics such as the displacement of the population of rural areas and their concentration in urban areas, increase in the purchasing power of the population, changes in mobility patterns, expansion of urban sprawl to the detriment of the agricultural frontier , degradation of the main ecological structure, loss of historical memory, among others. Being part of the West Savannah of Bogotá, and of the conformation of the Administrative Region and of Special Planning "RAPE Region-Central", Madrid must be oriented to establish strategies that favor its sustainable development within the framework of the regional planning of the territory, making necessary a diagnostic analysis that allows the reconstruction of its historical memory, the study of its dynamics of growth and development, as well as the visualization of its problems and potentials, allowing its local and regional prospecting in the long term.
