Resumen
The curricular project of Sanitary Engineering at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas is conducting the update of its qualified registration. This is by the new regulations proved by the Ministry of National Education. Conditions are being set to allow for the improvement of the academic curriculum, evaluating its educational resources, training activities, and the incorporation of innovative pedagogical methodologies. A thorough analysis has been conducted regarding the characterization of the students in the curricular project, evaluating various aspects: academic, economic, geographic, and social. A baseline study has been established on the conditions of the student community, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the educational context provided by the curricular project, as well as its impact on the local, district, municipal, and national communities. Thus, the Sanitary Engineering curricular project reports a positive impact, with significant figures recorded according to the academic training profile. This is thanks to its resources, faculty, educational strategies, and contributions from the student, teaching, administrative, and university communities.
