Resumen
This dissertation presents a theoretical and practical link between timbre and complex systems with the objective of creating two musical compositions for wind instruments and electronic media framed within contemporary music aesthetics. To achieve this, a review of timbre in relation to the sound phenomenon is established. Subsequently, research is carried out on the most relevant characteristics of complex systems and the complexity paradigm in such a way that it is possible to generate a link between these and timbre. After all of this, it is recognized that it is possible to understand timbre itself as a phenomenon that presents, especially in music, a complex behavior. A theoretical system is then proposed based on a hierarchical organization defined through fields made up of analytical categories that contain timbral information. This system allows sound to be understood according to its different emergence levels, which are used for the structuring of the pieces already mentioned.
