Resumen
Bogotá is one of the most important cities in Colombia not only because it is its capital but also because it is the heart of the economy and development of the nation. That is why the connection between the territories of the regions through a good road infrastructure is essential to bring evolution in the socio-economic and environmental spheres, in order to have sustainable development in each of the country's places. For this reason, there must be good connections and high quality in the city's road network, since roads are an important factor in movement and transportation in Bogotá through the issue of road safety and transportation time of each person. Calle 63 called Avenida José Celestino Mutis is one of the most important avenues since it connects with Avenida Boyacá and Avenida Caracas, having an east-west and west-east flow. With the problem that when it reaches the section of Av. Caracas and Carrera 9ª, this street becomes a single lane, which causes traffic jams and more in the so-called rush hours. This project is focused on making an infrastructure proposal that improves the transportation under which the intersection of Avenida Caracas and Calle 63 is currently operating in the Chapinero sector in the city of Bogotá. The solution was raised by carrying out a traffic study to determine the conditions in which this sector of the road is located, therefore, the proposal for road improvement is made by means of an underpass that goes along Calle 63 crossing Av Caracas.
