In the city of Bogotá it is possible to say that its citizens have a reliable electric power supply, but when evaluating recent events that have forced not only the city but the country to go to rationing, it is important to look for strategies that propitiate a use reasonable of the same and in this way prevent such inconveniences again. For this reason, social, economic and political strategies have emerged that promote the adoption of practices in all industries for a better use of energy, the main initiative is the PROURE (Program for the rational and efficient use of electricity) through Law 697 of 2010, which since 2010 seeks the adoption of medium-term projects that encourage the use of new technologies for measurement and use of energy. Thus, the present proposal proposes to install smart meters in the residential complex Cedritos 147, which allows a collection of hourly rate, and its adoption as a commercial frontier in the regulated market with different marketers. From the point of view of the network operator and the energy marketer, it is a strategy to solve the peaks of hourly energy consumption in terms of changing the users' consumption habits, through a relatively cheap and easy-to-operate investment, reducing at the same time the consumption of fossil fuels (thermoelectric) and supply cuts due to insufficiency in supply with respect to demand, which in turn achieve economic benefits, since they avoid the installation of new infrastructure, leading to savings of type operational and allows the inclusion of new projects that include the integration of non-conventional energies. On the other hand, from the point of view of the users, it will be an opportunity to enter the framework of the Smart Grids and its benefits such as seeing an economic saving in their electricity bills, obtaining a greater knowledge of their consumption in real time, acquire better consumption practices with a view to the future, and the possibility of entering as generators through unconventional energies.
