Digitalización y edición de una selección de obras del compositor Luis Antonio Calvo para el proyecto de investigación estudios colombianos para piano

Abstract

The need and interest to study Colombian music, brings us closer to the work of great composers who have significantly contributed to enrich Colombian culture and who have left a strong legacy of national identity for future generations. The beloved santanderean composer Luis Antonio Calvo is one of those who stands out in this select group of those who had on consideration the flowering of new discourses in Colombian national music in the 40s of the twentieth century. This work is been dedicated to digitalization and edition of several L.A. Calvo piano compositions selected for the study of this instrument by Aurelio Caro Gómez and Arminda Marcial Ysacura in the work: Colombian Studies for Piano (Caro Gómez y Marcial Ysacura, 2013). The digital publication of these texts enters in the "Gabriel Esquinas" Documental Center for the Arts macroproyect: Catalog, transcription, digitalization and edition of colombian music. In this way, it is intended to give a wider diffusion of different archives contented in the Piano Colombian Fund. Thus using current tools such as digitized files of scores, midi recordngs of the works and access to the digital platforms that contain this kind of works.
