Resumen
This research is based on the analysis of the communicative and media processes present in the educational practices of Education without School-ESE, in order to understand how these resources can contribute to the development of alternative pedagogies that at the same time promote the emergence of new citizenships in Colombia. The research design was ethnographic and exploratory, so the analytical-interpretive method was used. A group of 30 children was approached to develop a questionnaire, 20 of them participated in a workshop and three interviews were conducted. This methodological development provided stories and meanings that allowed to conclude that ESE conceives education as an experience that goes beyond school and that digital media are perceived as central to autonomous learning, a pillar of a free, conscious and participatory education. Therefore, it is possible to say that from the ESE, as a deschooling project, an educational political culture is exercised that puts into debate the methods, concepts and narratives of compulsory school at a time of constant transformation like the current one.
