Resumen
This project analyzes the behavior of concentrations of coarse, fine and ultrafine particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5 and UF particles) in the Air Quality Station located at the Paiba Headquarters of the Air Quality Monitoring System of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, through a correlation of meteorological variables and such particulate matter, data obtained in the T640X equipment specialized in the measurement of PM10 and PM2.5 and the Teledyne Monitor of ultrafine particles model 651, for a stipulated measurement time of 120 days, taking into account as area of influence 2 km around the Paiba Station. This is a strategic site because it is located in a residential and industrial area, which is characterized for being one of the localities with the highest levels of pollution in the city of Bogota, since the area has emissions from stationary combustion and process sources together with the linear sources coming from the road network in the study area. The results of the investigation indicate that in the area of influence of the Paiba station, the sources with the greatest contribution come from furnaces and boilers in 90%, likewise 88% of the combustion sources use gaseous fuel and for the linear sources the greatest contribution is generated by the arterial road network. Finally, there is a weak association between the variables of particulate matter concentration and meteorological variables, and a strong correlation between PM10 and PM2.5 (ρ = 0.938), with a high statistical significance.
