Aislamiento y caracterización de microorganismos termófilos con potencial biotecnológico del Manantial Termomineral Santa Mónica del Municipio de Choachí (Cundinamarca)

Abstract

Biotechnological advances and molecular characterizations are topics that have acquired relevance in the last decades; The new forms of classification by molecular methods and new reports, show the advantages that some organisms possess, the survival methods in extreme environments. Its great resistance generates a special interest in these microorganisms by different fields, among them the industrial, biotechnological, medical, among others, focused on its biomolecules and metabolic products In the present work, a strain of the MTM "Santa Mónica" thermomaterial source located in the geographical coordinates 4 ° 32'52.2 "N 73 ° 55'01.1" W, in the department of Cundinamarca, was isolated and characterized. It will be studied individuals whose habitat exceeds the temperature range of 60 ° C for their development, the samples will be evaluated firstly by biochemical tests, for subsequent selection and isolation, with which a molecular characterization will be carried out by sequencing the DNA and performing a bioinformatic analysis to achieve an optimal phylogenetic classification.
