Resumen
The schedule compression techniques in construction project management allow the readjustment of project tasks without affecting the project scope in compliance with the schedule constraints. The Crashing technique is designed to reduce time by intensifying the resources required in the activities of the schedule that have zero days of slack, such as activities that belong to the critical path of the project. On the other hand, the Fast-Tracking technique allows the readjustment of activities based on the parallel or simultaneous execution of activities to compress the schedule. This paper presents a review of the schedule compression techniques to obtain a perspective of advantages and disadvantages from the basic classical view of the Project Management Body Of Knowledge -PMBOK. This research exercise consists of the analysis of 25 references extracted from international and national databases.
