Resumen
The archaeological park of Saquenzipa located in the village of Monquirá, 4 km from the municipality of Villa de Leyva (Department of Boyacá), which has been the object of study for different academic entities and independent researchers for the important archaeological findings made in past times , the first study conducted in this archaeological complex was by Mr. Manuel Vélez Barrientos, who in 1847 wrote a letter describing his research trip to ancient monuments in the province of Tunja, in which he describes the stone columns of the archaeological complex of Monquirá and this letter is in hands Jean-Baptiste Boussingault who then publishes it in an article in the magazine Bulletin de la Société de Géographie de Paris. in 1981 the archaeologist Eliecer Silva Celis reveals by means of his Article archaeological investigations in Villa de Leiva the archaeological findings in this same place and the existence of a possible astronomical observatory. In addition to the different bibliographical sources by chroniclers, researchers, anthropologists who make mention of this archaeological complex in their books. Laser scanner technology is now more involved in each of the investigations that are related to archeology and the rescue of heritage archaeological. Now, the objective of this proposal is to apply the technology of the laser scanner to base and complement the previous investigations, by means of these results to provide as a contribution to those interested in working from the delivered.
