Abstract

Construction companies, more specifically those dedicated to the construction of tertiary roads, have not yet implemented a process system as a management model for project management, which leads to leave the results of the product of the execution of a project of this type to chance. In order to mitigate this uncertainty, the fundamentals of the PMBOK 6 edition have been taken as a guide of methods and techniques grouped in the implementation of the construction of a chemically stabilized road section, which is part of the approach of the general objective. In this context, the question for analysis is the following: what is the methodology in project management for the construction of a road section using chemical stabilization, in this guideline the organizations of the sector must implement in their processes the fundamentals of good engineering practices in order to guarantee the success of the projects they undertake. With certainty it is known of the problem of isolation suffered by the population of the villages of the national territory, caused by impassable roads due to neglect, little or no maintenance and deterioration caused by weathering, especially the action of rain in winter, which is transferred in large economic losses for the peasantry. In an attempt to mitigate this problem inherited from government after government, in recent years private companies have been researching and presenting positive experimental results using chemical stabilization with different technologies in the tertiary roads sector. Finally, there is no doubt about the success of those organizations that without hesitation have implemented the processes and tools described here based on the PMBOK 6 edition guide in the development of their projects.
