Resumen
The topics included within this research-creation revolve around the recognition of the main colombian airs and folkloric rhythms and the development of motor, rhythmic and cognitive skills by children in the early stages of schooling. These skills are generated, beginning with the implementation of four (4) traditional pre-dance rounds based of the main Colombian dances, which are Joropo, Cumbia, Bambuco and Currulao. For this purpose, a deep investigation was made about the main rhythms and dances that make up the different regions of the country. And that resulted in the round “El juego de la mar”, as a representation of the Cumbia; “El cangrejo cojo” as a representation of the currulao; “Papa con yuca” as a representation of Bambuco and “Rutina campesina” as a representation of Joropo.
