Resumen
The Safe Yield and Environmental flow are obtained through statistics methodologies that require streams detailed records inside a basin. The traditional method “Flow duration curve” is base don the daily or 7-day records but this require a lot historical flow data for show atypical event in the stream. In Colombia, the partial-recorded basins haven´t a detailed flow data. Through a statistical analysis can be developed a theoretical model for estimate low-flows with monthly flow data and low-flow frequencies. In the analysis of the proposed methodologies, was selected the Rio Negro basin because it have needed flow data for developed the traditional method and compare with calculated results. In this basin, are located five IDEAM´s hydrological stations with diferents records periods: Charco largo, Tobia, Puerto Libre, Villeta, El Paraiso, Guaduero y Colorados.
