Abstract

The document Instrumental practice as a clarinetist and trumpeter in the Cundinamarca Symphonic Band. Internship report describes the experiences lived as active musicians of the Cundinamarca Symphonic Band (BSC) during the second period of 2023, as well as the impact this generated in the department of Cundinamarca. With more than 28 years of experience, the BSC aims to strengthen musical training in the department of Cundinamarca and disseminate traditional Colombian, Latin American and symphonic repertoires. During the internship, various activities were developed such as personal study of the repertoire, rehearsals, concerts, chamber music work and pedagogical consulting in municipalities of the department. The cultural importance of the BSC and its contribution to the professional and personal development of musicians is highlighted. The methodology used included the consultation of bibliographic, audiovisual and phonographic material, along with the development of a field diary that accounts for the activities carried out and the achievement of the proposed objectives. This work shows how the experience at the BSC enriched the musical and pedagogical skills of the interns, and their projection towards the community and musical culture of Cundinamarca.
