Resumen
This document presents a proposal for utilizing the content from a book titled "Ruling Intermediate English." The book encompasses various activities pertinent to daily life aspects such as letters, text messages, audio clips related to overseas experiences, and more. The proposal draws from the collective experiences of educators within the classroom setting, considering the challenges faced by A2-level students during their transition to B1 level studies. The creation of this material involved incorporating external studies related to the subject matter, along with forums and ethnography, aimed at pinpointing challenges encountered by these students in Bogota's educational landscape. Comprising four units—Transportation and Trips, Life in Modern Cities, Social Networks, and Health—the material commences with grammatical content followed by assessments to facilitate its implementation by educators. Ultimately, the material strives to foster proficiency in four communication skills: listening, speaking, writing, and reading. Regrettably, the implementation was hindered due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing biosecurity measures, as these circumstances could potentially impact the validity of the results.
