Análisis de accidentalidad por medio de un S.I.G. (Sistema de Información Geográfica) en la vía Bogotá – La Vega (k 0+000 – k 22+000)

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (2013), in one day about 3,000 people die in the world; 22% are pedestrians, motorcyclists and 23% to 5% cyclists. Every year 1.24 million people, and 50 million suffer injuries due to traffic accidents. Therefore it is necessary to recognize the growing problem of accidents, which constitutes a problem that affects the quality of life of users who pass through the tracks. For reasons as mentioned above, this project is to analyze the impact of factors of infrastructure in road accidents, considering the accident as an involuntary event generated at least one moving vehicle causing damage to persons or property involved in the same. This time we will use a geographic information system (GIS) as a tool for management and decision making, using it in the process of collecting, processing and analyzing relevant and available accident and possible issues that cause information. Security decisions, such as routine maintenance, exclusion or addition of vertical and horizontal signage and / or adaptation of road infrastructure in the road Bogota - La Vega (K0+000 - K22+000). This through georeferenced all signs, visual inspections of the track and acquisition of reference information to be displayed on a cartographic map and then analyze it, dimensioning thus with a better understanding of accidents on the road and thus raising actions to prevent their occurrence. Roads are visible faults or damage to infrastructure, some of which are only displayed at the time of an accident; additionally it is important to note that this warns of a series of events that may occur in our way, and the absence or not to be well received by users more numbers of accidents, facts that make it necessary to immediately witness a system through which you can check the state of the roads of our country and its components.
