Resumen
Phthalocyanines are compounds not toxic, nor contaminants. They have thermal stability and insolubility in polar solvents and nonpolar. For this reason, the need arise to obtain derived structures by functionalization of the peripheral structure of the macrocycles, which allows increasing the soluble character of the molecules in different solvents, in order to model the properties and identify their physical and chemical characteristics, because they are suitable structures in nanotechnology, organic electronics and medicine. In this work, you can find the synthesis and characterization of aluminum phthalocyanine chloride, obtained from phthalonitrile and aluminum trichloride by template effect and subsequently, the peripheral structure of the compound was functionalized using chlorosulfonic acid. The phthalocyanine with sulfonic acid groups is soluble whater and diferent organic solvents. The characterization of the compound was made by different instrumental techniques as UV-Vis, FTIR, TGA / DTG, DSC, XRD, RMN and elemental analysis.
