Resumen
This thesis focuses on the composition of musicalized stories to explore the synergy between music and narrative. To achieve this, two stories were created, each set in distinct cultural contexts: one in the Montes de María region of the Colombian Caribbean, and the other in Fusagasugá, a municipality in Cundinamarca. The study initially focused on selecting two literary genres within the short story category, delving into their formal structures and exploring their integration with musical composition. Subsequently, research was conducted on the instruments and musical characteristics associated with the Colombian genres of porro de gaitas and rumba criolla, aiming to adapt these musical elements into the stories. Each tale was analyzed from both literary and musical perspectives, presenting a detailed report that highlights key elements such as leitmotifs, which play crucial roles in significant moments of the narratives. The work seeks to emphasize the cultural and musical identity of the Montes de María and Fusagasugá through creative composition and literary adaptation.
