Resumen
Optics, study the interaction of light and matter from various perspectives. One of the situations in particular is as a light wave strikes a material that is magnetized and, as a result, the properties of the reflected wave change. This interaction is known as the Kerr magneto-optical effect (MOKE). MOKE experiments are, therefore, a mechanism for the magnetic characterization of materials. By means of these it is possible to obtain the hysteresis curves of ferromagnetic and diamagnetic materials. Of particular interest is the possibility of experiments involving magneto-optical and plasmonic effects, as it is possible to improve the magnetic activity of the materials by means of this type of optical excitations. This work consists in the design, development, tuning of a differential amplifier for the development of Kerr magneto-optical experiments. In this way, the differential amplifier will be integrated into the existing angular reflectometer in the Scientific and Didactic Instrumentation Group of the Francisco José de Caldas District University (GIC & D-UDFJC).
