Carnaval Natural con el Jardín Botánico José Celestino Mutis de Bogotá: Diseño de cartilla para el acercamiento a la naturaleza en niños de 5 a 12 años

Abstract

In contemporary society, awareness of the importance of contact with nature is fundamental, especially for the multiple benefits it brings to the integral development of human beings. This project focuses on the creation of a booklet that encourages children's interaction with natural environments, counteracting the nature deficit disorder.

Developed in the context of the Nature, Health and Culture line of the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden of Bogotá, the booklet supports the Healthy, Active and Happy (SAyF) initiative, aimed at children from 5 to 12 years of age. Its objective is to promote regular contact with nature from an early age.

The booklet is based on observations made during SAyF therapy, offering experiences that not only promote contact with nature, but also motivate children to maintain this bond. It also highlights the benefits for mental, physical and emotional health, contributing to self-care and strengthening family ties.
