Abstract

The Municipality of Simijaca prioritized within its Action Plan for the validity of the Departmental Water Plan (PDA) of the Cundinamarca Department, to hire the consulting firm GRUPCING, for the execution of the Project "Update and / or Adjustment of the Master Plan of Aqueduct and Sewerage of the Municipality of Simijaca" which will be in accordance with the technical specifications established in current regulations, Resolution No. 0330 issued in 2017 "By which the Technical Regulations for the Drinking Water and Basic Sanitation Sector (RAS) are adopted" and Resolution No. 0799 of 2021. In turn, it is intended to update this master plan, because the municipality currently has health problems due to the discharge of wastewater and stormwater. Also in optimizing the structures of the municipality's aqueduct. Recognizing the aforementioned problems, it is clear that it is necessary to contract the update and/or adjustment of the municipality's sewer designs, so that a network system can be designed to optimize operation, reduce environmental problems, and provide a good sewer service. It is also necessary to correctly and efficiently construct a municipal water supply and purification system to properly supply the community with drinking water. With this, the goal is to support and propose solutions based on knowledge of sewer systems to update them and eliminate direct discharges of wastewater, thus minimizing the attraction of vectors. It will also rely on calculation reports and simulations using EPAnet and EPAswmm software to visualize the behavior and failures of the municipality's water supply and sewer systems and diagnose what needs to be optimized and improved.
