Resumen
In Bogotá, numerous community and alternative radio stations have played a key role in the process of dialogue and reconciliation before, during, and after the signing of the Havana Peace Agreement in 2016. This agreement recognized the work of these stations and included commitments to strengthen and ensure the sustainability of community and alternative media.
The objective of this research is to assess the effectiveness of public policy regarding the strengthening and social sustainability of community media, as implemented by the Colombian government—through the Ministry of ICTs—and the administration of Bogotá’s Mayor’s Office. The study aims to determine whether these policies align with the established regulations within the Post-Agreement period (2016–2022) and whether they adequately address the economic and social needs of community media in the localities of Bosa and Ciudad Bolívar. It also examines the access these stations have to resources and the significance of their presence and continuity for the community.
