Resumen
This work presents a comprehensive proposal to improve the management of solid waste generated by textile sector companies in the locality of Ciudad Bolívar. The research reveals that the vast majority of businesses in the sector consist of satellite workshops and micro-enterprises, which lack an adequate solid waste management system. This contributes to increased pollution and the loss of potential resources. The absence of consolidated records in official documents was identified, leading to an extrapolation to estimate the number of businesses in the area, a figure affected by factors such as the pandemic and the informality of many companies. Finally, the proposal involves implementing a pick-up and source-separation center where textile waste can be reprocessed and reused. It also considers the optimal route, necessary machinery and equipment, location, and type of vehicle required, promoting a circular economy and the sustainable use of materials. The plan emphasizes active community participation and the creation of programs that encourage the valorization of textile waste, helping to reduce environmental impact while fostering economic growth in the area. The project aims to strengthen the sustainability of the textile sector in Ciudad Bolívar and promote waste management practices.
