Análisis de variables que influyen en la tasa de rechazo en el proceso de inyección de envases plásticos en la empresa Distribuidora Córdoba S.A.S.

Abstract

This project aims at identifying variables that have influence in the rejection rate of EPPE1010/B VITA LATTI’s injection process, which is a model manufactured by Distribuidora Córdoba S.A.S., therefore, after an exploratory analysis, a considerable rejection percentage was found in this production line, which for the year 2024 was approximately 3.3%, becoming into more than 64 tons of rejected material, affecting directly the company’s profitability and generating a negative environmental impact. For this purpose, a preliminary study of the current state of the company was carried out, in which its production process, related information, and collection of internal records were documented. Subsequent to that and thanks to data obtained, proceeded to prioritize the injection process, machine and most representative reference for the company. Due to what was mentioned, took place the application of statistical tools such as R&R study and linear regression, which allowed the identification of some variables that affect the most the rejection rate generated. Finally, and based on the results obtained, conclusions were drawn that led to proposals as improvement actions in favor of reducing rejection and progress of conformity quality of the product.
