Rutas del aprendizaje autónomo del Inglés como L2 en la era digital

Abstract

Qualitative Research made with the outstanding English students from public schools of Bogota, through a biographical-narrative methodological design. The aim of this study was to know the autonomous routes followed by these students in order to learn English in this digital age. At the same time, this study endeavored to document their stories and to explore the role of technology in their process of learning, finally, this research brings to light some current pedagogical implications and suggest some educational proposals, from our student’s narratives. The cultural capital theory of Bourdieu has conceptualized these routes, concluding that students are creating bridges to bring closer the different gaps. It’s evident the need to involve these practices in the school, building playful-interactive spaces. It’s urgent the transformation of the teachers, family and student’s roles.
