Resumen
This work focused on the search for the residual stresses produced in a welded joint in a V joint of AISI 1045 steel, by means of fusion welding, manual metal arc (SMAW) which was modeled using the Ansys software in the Workbench interface, taking into account the transient thermal analysis. It was necessary to consider the properties of the material and to thoroughly investigate the welding parameters of the chosen method, in order to obtain the best version of the simulation. With the data provided by the software, a thermal analysis was carried out with transient point sources of the temperature calculated for the fusion, with the thermal profile and with reference to the CCT diagram of the material, the cooling curves were made where the speed can be appreciated, Taking these parameters into account, it is possible to determine the phase transformations that occurred in the joint before and after welding and their respective cooling. Finally, the calculation of the deformations was carried out from the phase transformations of the material, its length change, and percentage of carbon, Hooke's law is used to determine the magnitude of the transversal residual stresses present in the material after the welding process.
