Apoyo técnico en la formulación del Plan de Manejo Ambiental para el Humedal Brinsa - Santa Ana - Las Mercedes.

Abstract

This thesis, carried out as an internship, was conducted in partnership with the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR). The objective was to "Develop technical support strategies for the formulation of the Environmental Management Plan for the Brinsa - Santa Ana - Las Mercedes Wetland in the municipalities of Cajicá and Zipaquirá, within the framework of CAR's institutional management, considering ecological conservation and restoration measures." This plan contributes to the management of water resources and the fulfillment of Activity 06.3.1 "Formulate, update, and/or implement environmental management plans for wetlands in the CAR Territory" of the Four-Year Action Plan of the CAR Cundinamarca 2024-2027. As the main outcome of this internship, the corporation received a proposal for an Environmental Management Plan for the Brinsa Wetland Complex, developed based on the baseline information provided by the CAR. This proposal follows the guidelines proposed in Resolution 196 of 2006 and contains the biotic and abiotic characterization of the wetland, the evaluation of said characterization and the action plan with the appropriate measures for the conservation and restoration of the wetland.
