Resumen
The objective of this study is to carry out the characterization of the students of the faculty of Sciences and Education of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, based on sociodemographic aspects. A descriptive investigation developed in 4 phases is carried out and the survey is used as a technique to collect the information. A bibliographical review of the literature and a descriptive analysis are carried out with a probabilistic sample at the Faculty level. Articles in Scopus, Scielo, Taylor & Francis and Google Scholar are reviewed, of which 150 publications are selected to define the variables of the instrument to be used. A pilot test is carried out to later apply the final survey designed in Google Forms in which 272 active students of said Faculty participate and the results are analyzed. It concludes with the main findings linked to the student's profile, several factors stand out such as sex, socioeconomic stratum, marital status, children, family income, student employment situation, among others; thus allowing the characterization of the profile of the Students of the Faculty of Sciences and Education of the Francisco José de Caldas District University and useful for future research.
