Resumen
The objective of this investigation is to observe the symbolic elements present in the Plaza Imperial shopping center in the town of Suba, which contributed to the modification of the daily life of the ancient inhabitants of this area. To achieve this, an observation and data collection was made through three matrices that provided information to subsequently make an interpretation of them, thus understanding that the space, advertising, routes and actions of the visitors denote a symbolism that becomes the mediators of the transformation of everyday life. The observed elements suggest that the space in Imperial Plaza refers to the old houses. On the other hand, the routes and actions carried out there are part of a new everyday life that in previous years were practiced in their homes.
