Abstract

The present document called "Formulation of the manual of supervision to environmental health tecchnicians in the Department of the Meta" aims to define the elements of facilitating supervision aimed at the continuous improvement of the processes and procedures involved in the environmental health services that they exercise. environmental health technicians from the Department of Meta. The inspection, surveillance and control model includes among its purposes; guaranteeing the health of the environmental health environments of the productive chains of goods and services for human use and consumption. In this line of work, the Environmental Health Group of the Ministry of Health of Meta must incorporate as a methodology the improvement of processes that seeks to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the actions of environmental health technicians. This tool focuses on the implementation of coordination mechanisms between the Supervisor and the technicians with competences in the field of Environmental Health, as well as on the harmonization of actions, adopting quality criteria, in such a way that it is possible to unify criteria in interventions and procedures applied by technical personnel in the field. To this end and to respond to the regulatory requirements, the Environmental Health Group will initiate a strategy to improve the work system of the Environmental Health protection services dedicated to official control, introducing the supervision process as a fundamental tool to when it comes to guaranteeing effective actions in the areas of food safety and environmental health. It is therefore decided to prioritize this process in order to formalize the actions, rationalize the resources and provide added value to the actions of the officials.
