Resumen
This article aims to show the process of inquiring to carry out an innovative approach to early childhood education and primary versus the role of arts and literature in the education of children. Thus, it was set out the creation of a reader-puppet which may encourage the making of literary works in order to strengthen the reading and writing processes in early school stages considering the involvement of sensitive artistic experiences and visual language as well as other forms of communication. The proposal of working with puppets within the classroom corresponds to an alternative way for teachers to take part in the process of education, where the use of the puppet as a pedagogical tool not only enables interaction among peers but also with adults, being a maker of literary and artistic experiences, in addition to transcendental ways of communication.
