Caracterización de la población estudiandil de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas

Abstract

This document aims to present the characterization carried out on the students of the Faculty of Engineering of the Francisco José de Caldas District University with the objective of knowing what are those variables that determine said population and how these can be used for the benefit of the University and its University Wellness Center. By carrying out a systematic bibliographic search, the necessary variables were determined for the characterization and also for the design and application of a survey-type instrument that allowed the creation of a database with student information classified into 6 modules: information personal, family information, lifestyle, experience at university, health and life project. This information was represented using descriptive statistics, with the use of the Power BI data visualization and processing program, to later be analyzed with the SPSS data analysis tool. The results obtained allowed us to determine that there are values ​​for some variables that, in general, describe the students of the engineering faculty of the Francisco José de Caldas District University. Likewise, the results provided information that the University Wellness Center can use as a tool for decision-making.
