Resumen
The present investigation deals with the way in which the National Education Ministry (MEN) presents the history of the Armed Conflict in Colombia’s teaching in 5 key Governmental documents. Through the processing of these documents as research supports, the investigation seeks to achieve its purpose, which consists in to identify, analyze and explain the ways of reasoning in which the MEN supports the teaching of the history of the armed conflict in the country’s schools; To achieve this objective, documentary research and content analysis were developed as a methodological commitment, in which the character of the document is highlighted, its relationship with the configuration of national history, its transformations over time, and the treatment of these to identify the disputes and political bets that are hidden behind their alleged veracity.
