Resumen
The feminine Eros is studied in this monograph, based on an own stereotype, placed in the Second World War half of the Twentieth century, well known as femme fatale. It is from this recurring characterization, found in some of the Vargas Vila’s novels, that it will try to recognize or not the feminine Eros as an aesthetic value in his narrative so as to try to assess the reasons why his novelist style is into Colombian Literature’s hiding. To do this, firstly a conceptual path will be done ranging from sexuality and eroticism to love, with a view to finding in the opposition of the constitutive elements of this, the femme fatale mental and physical traits seen on three novels such as: Ibis, Salomé and María Magdalena. This is about a claim of the “vargasviliana” novelist throughout the critic based on a thorough revision of some of his texts.
