Apoyo a la mejora continua del sistema de gestión ambiental en la Imprenta Nacional de Colombia - Inc.

Abstract

In this thesis support activities undertaken in the course of the internship at Imprenta Nacional of Colombia, aimed at improving environmental management, in which it was possible to identify the initial state and the end of it exposed. This was achieved through an Initial Environmental Review - IER, which was complemented by a GAP analysis, in order to compare the current management to compliance with documentary requirements of ISO 14001: 2004. Moreover, support was made in social activities, awareness and training, implementing elements such as; brochures, surveys and assessments, in order to obtain additional information. He also sought to address new issues such as; "Good practice in the use of water and energy", "Use and management of environmental emergency kits" and "proper handling and disposal of waste". Finally, important information from the review of previous environmental audits to the internship that helped identify opportunities to improve environmental management system was obtained, which must be taken into account in future environmental audits, to ensure the successful management and avoid penalties future.
