Resumen
The efficient management of solid waste in Bogotá faces important challenges, such as the lack of separation at the source, the informality of collection processes and the absence of technological tools to optimize these activities. This generates negative impacts, such as the reduction of the useful life of landfills and associated environmental problems. In this context, Geovisor GEOECA is presented, a tool based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), designed to manage and optimize the collection of recyclable materials.GEOECA offers a technological solution to record and analyze information on recyclers, routes and recovered materials, complying with regulations such as Decree 596 of 2016. This system addresses the limitations of current methods, which are rudimentary and decentralized, by facilitating the visualization and consultation of geospatial data through an interactive web platform. GEOECA contributes to efficient route planning, improved solid waste management, the formalization of the recycler's trade and the strengthening of the circular economy. This tool seeks not only to reduce the environmental impacts of waste accumulation, but also to improve operational efficiency, economic benefits for waste pickers and promote more sustainable urban development.
