What does someone like me do in a universe like you? Is a research based on a narrative approach based on qualitative and ethnographic methodology. It involved the recording of life story accounts of two girls involved in child participation models designed by the Colombian State to guarantee this right and influence public management. The stories in articulation with the theoretical positions defined from the background, the theoretical framework and the research methodology allowed an exercise of analysis, reflection and creation to discover the conditions that guarantee the exercise of child participation at the family, social, Cultural and state and to respond to the objective proposed for this research. The process was developed from five aspects: the first one corresponded to the study of the antecedents and the state of the situation of the child participation in the country, the second study configures the theoretical framework realized from the conceptions of infancy, culture and language, This chapter gives an account of the characteristics of girls who participate in their daily practices, in relation to family, society, culture and state and how the use of language guarantees the necessary conditions for the expression of feelings, ideas and Opinions of girls, boys and adolescents in all areas of their lives. The third aspect corresponds to the research methodology developed from the narrative approach, is ethnographic in nature and was carried out in three moments or phases that by means of meetings allowed, on the one hand narrating, on the other hand analyze and finally create. Fourth, an analysis of the information was made to highlight the findings of the question: What are the family, social, cultural and state conditions that guarantee child participation ?, to conclude with some conclusions that, in synthesis, are aimed at analyzing From the proposed model of participation in the public management of the country, its influence on the development of the girls participating in the research and how, based on the recognition of childhood, culture, expression languages and children's narratives, new models can be developed That allow human interaction with the full recognition of the participating child, so that the country and its citizens advance in the understanding of what it means to generate conditions of participation in which it is possible to express feelings, ideas and opinions and these are taken Into account in the course of daily life and the agenda of the To public management. As a result of this exercise, an artistic exhibition is held at the Bogota Museum on August 23rd, in which the girls, two artists and the researcher set up an aesthetic piece to provoke reflections from the voices, images, objects and Expressions of participation that were analyzed by girls in their own life processes and in the exercise of the right to participation.
