Resumen
A radiodiagnostic facility must have a quality control's program in which the image is evaluated, its diagnostic value for the medical treatment, with minimum expusure to the patient and to the occupationally exposed personnel without generating costs or repetitions in the procedures. On the basis of above, the design was carried out and later, the implementation of a protocol's quality control in the 'clinica de pequeños animales' of the Universidad Nacional in Bogotá, and parameters associated with the equipment were evaluated: radiation beam and parameters of operation; others associated with the verification of the quality of image: contrast and uniformity, using prototypes for its measurement as the stepped wedge, the radiopaque L profiles and the cylinder in PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), which were elaborated by the research FIACIBI's group (Physics Applied to Biological Sciences). The results obtained show the compliance and the acceptability of the parameters of x-ray equipment in accordance with the recommendations established by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Spanish protocols.
