Resumen
Starting from the fact that boys and girls are social and political subjects, capable of understanding their reality from the experiences they weave about it and of influencing the contexts in which they develop, this research recognizes the right of boys and girls to participate in social and political life, and contribute to the transformations that today's society requires in the peace building project. Given this, the purpose of contributing to the reflection and resignification of the speeches and practices that legitimize the use of violence by students of the fourth grade of the Manuelita Sáenz District College is raised, through the recognition of memories that treasure senses and perspectives on what has been the armed conflict and the act of violence in Colombian society. In this way, focus research process analyzes the boys narratives and girls, in the light of three categories: statements about peace, statements about violence and memory as narrated. These narratives, account for the appropriation of some historical facts, their ability to question and argue the socio-political reality, the proposals that identify that in their daily lives they can provide the configuration of a culture of peace and the meanings they build around violence and peace.
