Abstract

The movement of Latin American Song arises in the political and social context of the mid-20th century in Latin America due to the circumstances present at the time. This work seeks to organize information regarding the events that occurred during this period, starting with a contextualization that goes hand in hand with information and interpretation of the contribution of singer-songwriters, as well as the prominence and participation of the acoustic guitar in this historical period. Similarly, a concert of six (6) Latin American songs will be presented, mostly composed on this continent, focused mainly on countries such as Cuba, Colombia, Peru, and Chile, in a format that highlights the combination of guitar and voice. It will focus especially on the interpretive role of the acoustic guitar.
